Read this New Yorker article about fan fiction, "The Promise and Potential of Fan Fiction."
Okay, okay. I understand the frustration with this particular topic. Hopefully, this will clear it up for you.
WHAT'S THE ISSUE? Say, you want to submit your awesome Dragon Age fanfiction story that is multiple chapters long. But, where does it go—fan fiction or books and long prose?
If the story has multiple chapters, please submit it into the Fanfic Folder because it is fan fiction. That genre overrides the fact that it is a story...it is fan fiction first!
If you are submitting a normal—NOT fan fiction—story with multiple parts or chapters into this club please submit it into the Books and Long Prose Folder.
KEEP IN MIND: If you DO NOT read these rules, your submission(s) will be declined.
